PROCEDURES FOR OBTAINING BUILDING PLAN APPROVAL

In pursuant of Nasarawa State Urban Development Agency Development Control Standards and Regulation for the state 4th Edition 2021 based on the Nigerian Urban and Regional Planning Law of1992 (Decree No. 88), all individuals and organizations seeking to develop their land in Nasarawa State can apply for a development (building) permit through the following process:

APPLICATION PROCESS

STEP 1

Start your application by using any of the channels below; Obtain the appropriate building permit application form for free at NUDA Headquarters located at Jos Road beside Nasarawa Transport Company Terminal Laﬁa or Complete Application Online.

STEP 2 (Subject to document availability)

One copy of Right of Occupancy (RofO)/Certiﬁcate of Occupancy (CofO) Contact www.nagis.na.gov.ng

Survey plan of Plot/Land/Title Deed Plan (TDP)

Where RofO is not ready, upload any of the following:

Letter of plot allocation
Clearance certiﬁcate from the Local Government Council where applicable
Deed of Assignment or Power of Attorney in case of transfer

An online soft copy to be uploaded to the website application and 1 set of building plans in hard copy prepared in A3 size containing the following:

Site development plan/Layout
Structural and Engineering drawings, and calculations where necessary
Architectural drawings with scale and measurements table
Detailed landscape plan (where applicable)
Electrical drawings
Mechanical drawings

STEP 3 (Within 10 working days) Submission of Application Form

Manual Submission

Pay the applicable processing fee (Individuals: According to the NUDB billing system attached here and Companies/Organizations: using any of the available payment channels.

Payment should be made via any commercial bank, Pos, shortcode or at NUDA Customer Service located at Nasarawa State Urban Development Agency (NUDA) Headquarters, Laﬁa Nasarawa State POS using a debit card or credit card.

Submit the duly completed Application Form directly to NUDA Customer Service located at the Head Oﬃce together with the following documents:

Evidence/proof of payment of application processing fee
All applicable documents detailed in Step 2 above

Electronic Submission

Make payment using the NUDA Billing System to calculate total rates and pay at paymentstage on the website. Download Payment Receipt.

Complete the application form online and upload all relevant documents on https://nuda.ng

Conﬁrmation of Application

Upon Submission of your application form, applicants will be provided with a unique Application Reference Number and an Acknowledgement Letter that carries the ﬁle number for the application.
